Terms of Sale
The Art of French Living offers a changing collection of vintage, antique and decorative objects sourced primarily in the South of France. Many pieces are unique and available in a quantity of one.
Our pieces
Vintage and antique objects have lived previous lives. Signs of age, wear, patina, repairs and small imperfections are part of their character and should be expected.
We make every effort to describe and photograph each piece accurately, including significant damage or imperfections where applicable. Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen. Dimensions are approximate.
Prices & payment
Prices are shown in euros (€). Any applicable delivery charges will be communicated before the purchase is completed.
Purchases are arranged directly with the shop in Pézenas; the website does not take online payments. Payment must be made in full before a piece is collected or dispatched.
Availability
Most pieces are one of a kind. An item is not reserved until a purchase has been agreed with the shop and payment confirmed.
In the unlikely event that an item has already been sold or is otherwise unavailable, the order will be cancelled and any payment refunded in full.
Shipping
Smaller pieces are carefully packed in Pézenas and sent by tracked carrier. Furniture, mirrors and particularly fragile or oversized pieces require specialist transport and delivery is quoted individually.
Online purchases
For purchases made online, customers have a statutory right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, without having to give a reason.
To exercise this right, contact ashley@artoffrenchliving.fr within the applicable period.
Unless otherwise required by law or agreed by us, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Items must be returned carefully packaged and in the condition in which they were received.
Following a valid withdrawal, eligible payments will be refunded in accordance with applicable consumer law. The refund may be withheld until the returned item has been received or evidence of its return has been provided.
Your statutory rights concerning goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described are unaffected.
